The amount of paint chips and newspapers I have hanging around my house
is INSANE.
I have an entire barrel filled with newspapers, and a basket of paint chips.
Both of which are looking to be re-purposed.
One of the things I like to do with them is wrap gifts.
Boring if you just use the newspaper itself,
but if you dress it up with a paint chip or two
It can be super cute!
And FREE.
Thats the best part.
Who needs to buy expensive wrapping paper
when you can put your own twist on things?
This is how I wrapped the gift card from the TJ Maxx giveaway...
Super easy, and with a couple special touches.
I think something wrapped like this has meaning since a little effort was put it in.
Or, I'm just a sucker for easy crafts!
All you need to do is arm yourself with some newspaper,
paint chips, scissors, a punch (I used a butterfly and flower),
twine, tape and glue!
Wrap your gift in the newspaper...
Punch out your shapes and glue them on...
Use a piece of twine to tie it up...
Add a homemade gift tag if you'd like...
And Voila!
I know I'm not the first to wrap with newspaper, but, I had to share.
I love little homemade goodies!
